One year at DID (= Dublin Institute of Design) have taught me a lot.
I've learned to:
trust a design process,
basics of pattern drafting,
various sewing techniques,
and I have finally got to learn the basics of Illustrator & Photoshop, which has been on my to do list for past ten years.
I have managed to design and make a dress, without butchering it too much.
and I have gained a confidence in myself as a maker.
Yet at the same time I know I have a long way to go, so I will be surely returning to school again next year.
